Skiing in the Almenwelt Lofer
Mountain lodge fun meets winter paradise!
Whilst skiing in one of Austria’s most beautiful skiing areas, not only the family-friendliness which this skiing region has been distinguished for will delight you, but also the 46 well-groomed kilometres of skiing slopes and 10 top-class, modern ropeways and lifts.
All free-skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the "Lofi-Funline", because this superb snow park guarantees pure fun and action. The Almenwelt offers children everything these junior skiing fans could wish for: BOBO Kinderland (children’s park), a 140-meter-long "magic carpet" (conveyor belt) and of course, the possibility to learn to ski in special children’s skiing schools.
Are you not a skier or snowboarder?
Not a problem, because the Almenwelt provides many possibilities to experience the white splendour also away from the slopes. There is a 4-km-long high-altitude cross-country skiing trail available to cross-country skiers, and if you would like to explore the region on a winter hike, then you can do this on 2 prepared round tour hiking routes, selecting between routes with distances of 1.5 km and 4 km.
(Almost) all paths lead to the Kuhbar!
Regardless of whether on two skis, a snowboard, on foot, with cross-country skis or snow shoes – take a break and enjoy the cosy atmosphere in the Kuhbar or on our beautiful sun terrace, with magnificent views across our mountain world and Salzburg’s Saalachtal valley!
"Always worth a visit. Located directly on the slopes of the Schwarzeck lift. Simply GREAT!"
